Tunku Ismail slams hate campaign

Date : 18 December 2012

Tungku Ismail Sultan IbrahimJOHOR FA president Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim (picture), has called for an immediate stop on the “hate campaign” against Johor by certain groups and individuals, especially on the social media.
“It is totally uncalled for. This group is from Kelantan. Why create hatred. The ones who will suffer are the fans,” said an upset Tunku Ismail.

“We went by the book to recruit players for the new season. Let it be known that some players wanted to join us – it is not that we went looking for them. When a player with recognition wants to play for your team you don’t turn him down.

The player in question is national striker Norshahrul Idlan Talaha. Norshahrul who had a contract with the Red Warriors until the end of next season, has signed for Johor Darul Takzim after a tug of war with Kelantan FA.

Kelantan released him after sorting out the “financial mess” over the buyout of the player’s contract.
On another matter, Tunku Ismail expressed surprise NS Betaria are allowed to play in the Premier League next season after initially being booted out by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM).
